“The Terraflex II is very breathable. It has great grip and sheds mud well, it keeps a nice safe grip on the trail and tarmac. ” – Jessica D.

The TerraFlex II is a lighter and more flexible update to the best-selling original — all without sacrificing any of the trail-gripping traction, secure fit, or all-day comfort that people loved about the TerraFlex.

FEEL CONNECTED TO YOUR WORLD WHEN YOU RUN OR HIKE IN THE TERRAFLEX II

SECURE, TRAIL-GRIPPING COMFORT.

Whether you’re running, hiking, or simply taking a casual stroll off the beaten path, the TerraFlex II helps you feel more connected to the ground beneath your feet.

The rugged 6.5mm FeelTrue® sole, including 4mm lugs for confident traction, provides the perfect combination of protection and ground feel for any off-road activity. The embedded 3mm layer of TrailFoam™ provides added comfort and protection and the toe bumper helps guard against unexpected bumps you encounter along your way.

Finally, our huarache-inspired heel cinch and mid-foot webbing remain fully adjustable, giving you a secure and stable fit throughout your adventure, while the iconic wider toe box lets your toes splay and flex to empower your stride.

LIGHTWEIGHT PROTECTION THAT FEELS JUST RIGHT.

At just 8.3 oz for a women’s size 7, the TerraFlex II is even lighter than the original, placing it just between our ultra-lightweight Mesa Trail running shoe and the multi-purpose DayLite Hiker Fusion boot. This is one hiking shoe that won’t slow you down, keeping you going from trailhead to summit.

WE MAKE HIKING SHOES SO COMFORTABLE, YOU’LL FORGET THEY’RE EVEN ON.

If your feet don’t feel as good at the end of the day as they did in the beginning, you haven’t tried the TerraFlex II.

Life-changing comfort and superior performance come from letting your feet do what’s natural – bend, move, flex and feel.

All Xero Shoes feature a wider, foot-shaped toe box that lets your toes spread and relax, a non-elevated “zero drop” heel for proper posture, low-to-the-ground design for perfect balance and agility, and a flexible sole that gives you “just right” protection so you can bend, move, flex, and safely Feel the World® in total comfort.

To clean your TerraFlex II, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting the TerraFlex II in the washing machine or dryer.

FAQs

With it’s grippy, lugged soles, the TerraFlex is built for running and hiking on trails.

That’s not to say you can’t walk, stroll, road run, Crossfit and much more… you can.

Put on your TerraFlex and Live Life Feet First!

This is one of my favorite features in the TerraFlex.

The huarache-sandal inspired heel strap can be used to hold your heel and ankle in place. Pull the straps through the ankle holes in the sole, and then lock them in place with the laces.

The instep straps can be used to secure your instep, which can free up your toes and forefoot to relax and function better. Use the laces to tighten or loosen them to your liking.

The TerraFlex is our first shoe designed for trails. With a rugged, stitched upper, it’s great for running and hiking.

The Mesa Trail is made more specifically for trail running, with a lightweight breathable mesh upper, extra moisture wicking lining, and a protective welded covering for the adjustable midfoot and instep straps.

Both shoes have a grippy, lugged, dual-chevron tread, and a 3mm TrailFoam layer (“hiding” in the outsole) for just-right protection and comfort.

Shoe sizing, especially online, is not a perfect process. That’s why we have a free exchange policy.

For EU/UK/JP sizing, there’s a conversion chart at the bottom of the TerraFlex product description.

The TerraFlex now runs fairly true to size. We recommend going with your usual athletic shoe size.

The TerraFlex is wider than conventional trail running shoes.

Sizing for a shoe is different than a sandal, so if you own one of our sandals, that doesn’t mean you’ll pick the same size in the TerraFlex, so use the measuring info if you can.

Keep in mind, though, that because the foot is three-dimensional, any two-dimensional measuring tool, such as a ruler or Brannock device®, can only approximate your true shoe size. Manufacturers model their shoes on different foot shapes, which is why you might be an 8 in one brand and a 9 in another. And then, there’s personal preference: three people with identical feet might think the same shoe fits differently.

If your foot is really narrow and smaller than a men’s 10, you may want to check out the “women’s” TerraFlex. The conversion between men’s and women’s is 1.5, so a women’s 8 is the same as a men’s 6.5.

We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).

Great hikers

Love these shoes. Protective enough without being restrictive and have tread without being clunky.

Excellent design, durability could improve

This was the shoe that got me onboard the barefooot bandwagon! I've worked on my feet for a decade and just accepted that foot and leg pain came with the territory. Switching to barefoot shoes has entirely eliminated pain in my feet and joints. I have wide feet and a decent toe splay, and these have plenty of room for my toes while still feeling secure on my heels. I'm a huge fan of the reflective detailing, but which is very bright even on rainy nights in the PNW. After 6 months of almost daily wear, I'm very impressed with the durability of the soles, tread, and insoles, which still look nearly new. However, the durability falls off when it comes to the material of the upper. The mesh is extremely soft which, while comfortable, doesn't hold up even to the relatively light duty I've been putting it to- bike commuting, extended but mostly indoor wear, and extremely light trail walks. There is visible wear to the upper in the same spot on both shoes, with the mesh having torn away entirely on one shoe. For actual hiking and trail running I've stuck with wearing a more durable pair of runners. Overall I'm very happy with these shoes for more casual activities, and would certainly buy them again to fill that particular niche. However, I think they fall a bit short of the mark as a more technical hiking or trail running in shoe.

I've only got to wear 2xs on trail walk due to allergies but I can say...I love look and they are comfortable. I've always bought the Prios and always will but these are diffently a backup for trail walks. Husband runs in these and likes. His 2nd pair besides Mesa and likes alot. I am still blowed away at the price. Husband also wears hfs a likes. My husband, daughter and I want buy anything besides XERO now. We are forever customers. Not only do they look GREAT,they are the most comfortable shoes we've ever worn. They are light, low profile and NON BULKY-which We all 3 hate. * Besides our sandals in summer and husband's haydudes,XERO is all you will ever see in Our closets. LOVE & We all 3 are so THANKFUL for XERO🫶👟💛🙏

Wish I'd bought two pair.

I bought these on sale and wish I'd bought two pair. This is my fourth pair of Xero Shoes and after seeing how much I like them and all my Xero shoes, my husband is wearing them, too.
